Oral presentation: Describing wildlifeTASK: To present a wild animal and show that you can use the Present Simple and the Present Continuous. STRUCTURE: I. Introduction First, tell us what you are going to talk about, which animal. Do this so that you describe a photograph of this animal in action. Here, you are describing one moment in this animal's life, so you use the Present Continuous. II. Main part/Body In the main part of the presentation, you should present the animal's life, its habitat/the environment, its food and family patterns. Tell some basic and maybe interesting facts about it, but do not complicate. This part tells about the every day life and the usual things, so you use the Present Simple. III. Conclusion In the end, mention a problem that this animal faces, or how it is connected to the wider environment/world, how it helps other animals or how it is connected with people. It depends here on what you write; you may use both Present Simple and Continuous. > Help yourself with the Student's book (page 45). There, you can find a sample text, a guide and key phrases.
